I have (2) perfectly working keys and would like to change one to the "S" emblem key. Is it possible to transfer the transmitter to a used key? I have checked online and could fine not write-ups or videos. Everything is just battery replacement vids.
thanks

Not exactly clear what you mean by transfer. You can have the car programmed to accept a new (or used) key fob; however, that is something that the dealer has to do.
Or are you talking about just transferring the cover on the key fob? I don't have a clue about that.

I was hoping to buy a used S key and xfer the contents to it. I did this on a Cayman and was pretty easy to do. I have not seen anything on the interwebs about cracking open a 2021 A4 key...

Basically wants to swap the insides from the unmarked shell to the S logo shell. No idea if you can separate the shell from the circuitry in a manner that can be put back together.

My 2021 doesn't have that metal insert on the back so I have no observations about how this would work. It is a big enough fight for me just to replace the battery so I personally would be dis inclined to mess with the fob.
If you can find a used S line fob for sale, you might be able to have the car programmed by the dealer to recognize the fob. You would really need to want that S line logo because that option would not be cheap.

Looks like that back plate is made to come off. Audi actually makes various colors and styles for the replacement back. It appears there's two different key styles, with and without the chrome bar. The difference being the cover is different sized.

8W0071208B xxx, painted back plate for with chrome bar - https://audi-shop.com/lu/en/p/key-co...071208B%20S9R/
Notice the difference in the shape of the colored section.
But Audi makes CF versions, with the S logo too:

The description implies these are adhered covers. https://manuals.audi/en/8W6071208B-3Q0
Whereas the eBay listing seems to be a replacement cover (ie, the cover that would have been on a FN0 fob). The picture looks "simple", but that there's no YT video showing it actually being done, ....
Visuals of something being sold as a replacement shell: https://www.ebay.com/itm/226042906863
I'd ask the seller for a video of them actually doing so, without breaking the fob. Clearly wasn't meant by Audi to be a thing done.
