Retrofitted: Ambient lightning (Just like the Extended LED Interior Lighting Pack)

I just successfully completed this retrofit with OEM rgb ambient lighting LED modules directly from Audi, and all is working well.
This forum got way out of control with people doing it so many different ways, so I'll briefly summarize what needs to be done to do this correctly (as if factory-fitted; OEM).
Each LED has a different part number for the location in the vehicle and also different part numbers (for the exact same module) for GP0 and GP1 PR codes, so be sure to check your PR sticker.
From my understanding, GP0 is B9 models and GP1 is B9.5+.
All these modules were $15 a pop directly from Audi, which isn't bad at all and they shipped directly from Germany. Most can be bought used on eBay as well (still OEM; just used), but it was actually cheaper to get them at the dealer (surprising, right?).
Each LED must have power, ground, and LIN bus wires going into it. The extra pin is LIN bus out for looping in the other LEDs.
If you already have the white ambient lighting lights, then the wiring really isn't that difficult because the light locations already have power and ground, and you'll just have to add the wire for the LIN bus.
The doors are a different story. You have to get power and LIN to each door connector, which I'll admit was a real pain.
Then you route the wires inside the door panel itself to the connector that is on the door control module everyone is talking about in this thread from LaZyBones post.
It has nothing to do with the control module and is only a female connector plug that slides into the slot on it to hold the wire connector. The part number is 8K0972994.
You'll also have to buy (or make) the male connectors that plug into the LEDs and the connector listed above.
If you already have the white ambient lighting installed then you can reuse most of the connectors, but will still need to buy some.
They are color-coded for different parts of the vehicle.
Front doors contour - red connector
Front doors background - black connector
Rear doors contour - blue connector
Rear doors background - brown connector.
You can buy the wires already crimped with the connectors from Aliexpress for $75, or wire and crimp and connect the terminals yourself for a couple of bucks each like I did.
Everything is routed to/from the BCM.
Finally, coding is needed to activate the menu on MMI (as already mentioned in this thread).
In addition, the QQ2 parameters must be uploaded to the control module using VCP or ODIS. OBD11/VCDS alone is not capable of this. The lights still technically work without the parameters, but you still don't want to skip this step.
You can probably ask your local service dealer to see if they will upload the parameters for you, as it really should only take 10 minutes to do.
I have all the part numbers for LEDs, connectors, crimp pins, etc.
Feel free to PM for any guidance.
