I went to change the plastic center console trim with a leather one and found the light strip behind it, easily accessible and removable. I was able to trim the LED housing to make the blue LED (linked in the first post) fit but wanted to know if it might throw a code if I cut out the existing white only LED and solder on the blue one.

ach maybe and then I had to shove the LED in there good to get it to close. Worth it though.

I did the centre so far and will do the doors next.

yes in the MMI I have not yet found the contour lighting and the contour lighting color (door handle).
yes that requires a coding that I do not know
it is necessary to change the modules but also the harnesses or to make them even.
