Default Seat belt alarm

My seat belt alarm seems to go off when I put items in the passenger seat, not even very heavy items.. maybe a few pounds.. does this happen to anyone else? pretty annoying.

Mine goes off if I put a MacBook Air 11'' on there in the wrong spot.

Mine goes off if I put my iPad Pro on the passenger seat, the most annoying ringing. But I figured out it fits perfectly in the side compartment.

One thing I just noticed is that the alarm only goes off it my iPad or MacBook are directly on the seat. I just got in put my backpack on the passenger seat and nothing happened and I realized it was filled with: IPad Pro, MacBook Pro, full water bottle, and a Nikon DSLR. Much heavier than just the iPad alone, so could it be the aluminum from the casing that is setting it off?

I was able to tell the Lexus dealership for my ES to turn off seat belt alarms. Would Audi do that? Or does the car have the capability to turn this off?

Is this something that could be disabled using Carista?

Carista presently only supports diagnostics on the A4 B9 platform,

A4/S4/RS4 (B9: 2016+) [NO CUSTOMIZATIONS YET!, only diagnostics]
A5/S5/RS5 (all) [sample]

Here is the complete lists of supported Audi vehicles;

Supported Vehicles ? Carista OBD2 ? Vehicle Diagnostics and Customization

Hope they support the B9 soon.
