Sounding off on Waze
I really enjoy using Waze on my MMI, but several times when I've used it, it turns off the sound to my radio and/or the navigation. Sometimes I'm able to get the sound back by pressing various buttons and going through several menus, but I can never remember what I did to get the sound back. Yesterday I found a menu in Waze where your could select Sound Off and Sound On. I selected Sound On, and was taken to another screen where it also said Sound On. I selected Sound On, and the sound did come back on. But later on in the day I was having the same problem, and when I selected Sound On, both the radio and Waze app stayed muted.
My only way to fix things was to disconnect my phone, plug it back in, launch Android Auto and start all over again. This is very annoying. Does anybody else ever experience this?

I have Waze issues with Apple Car Play. The last 2 versions of Waze have been terrible- 4.35 and 4.36 iOS. Waze will turn off by itself in the middle of navigation without warning and also will freeze up the radio audio with dead air.
My only way to return to navigation is the manually unlock screen, re-lauch Waze and then re-enter destination. Pretty unsafe while driving. I gave up after 2 weeks and downgraded back to 4.01- only issue is that it's not optimized for iPhone X: lots of empty black bar space on top and bottom of screen. I can't find an old version of 4.33 or 4.34 that at least it's usable and safe.
As for the audio issue, if usually need to hit the radio silver button or hit 1 of the radio presets and audio returns.
Car Play still a little buggy on my 2017 A4.
