I must have spilled some liquid on the center console. Now the center console buttons do not depress normally. I was wondering if this has happened to any of our brethren and how they fixed this issue. Sorry in advance if I missed this discussed in the past. I am assuming I am not the first to deal with this issue.

I think the problem is under the buttons. Do I spray the chemical in the space between the console and the buttons? Is there a way to lift the buttons and clean under the buttons without taking the entire console apart?

I'd say to spray it on the edges so it can seep through. I'm not familiar with the viscosity of the electrical contact spray compared to like penetrating oil and brake fluid; but at least the electrical spray is safe to use on electrical and all.
Trying to remove the console would be too much work imo.

I tried cleaning the sticky buttons with brake cleaner (as recommended from the guy at CT) and I think it made the buttons so brittle and they snapped. Now I need to know where I can order replacement buttons for the Menu and back buttons on a 2017 A4. Can anyone help????

Brake cleaner destroys plastic (you know that now) I would have used a water based cleaner like simple green to flush the goop out.
Your dealer would be able to give you the part numbers.

Yeah I would have used electrical cleaning fluid especially with electrical underneath that plastic. Brake fluid is a bit extreme and clearly kills the plastic lol

Definitely wasn't the greatest idea. Anyone know how to remove and replace the MMI operating unit? I couldn't find any youtube videos yet. Part # 8W0919614T is the replacement part if anyone else needs to replace it.
