Hi guys, so apparently my A4 2019 does not support wireless Carplay but only the wired one, I am wondering is it possible to upgrade it so that it can support wireless carplay ?

Should be able to use Carplay2air or CarlinKit - several posts here on AW and you can find it on Amazon

yup I came across those when I was researching on Youtube as well, issue is that I am in Australia and those things are very rare.

Are there other official options? It seems to me that the MMI just need a software upgrade isn't it ? is it something that the Audi 4s shop will do ?

also I have seen CarlinKit 2.0 and 3.0, anyone knows the difference?

No. There isn’t any support for wireless CarPlay on 2019. 2020 models do not officially support it but it can be enabled with coding.

so that means i have to replace the entire head units of the MMI ? anyone knows how to order parts like that and roughly how much is that gonna cost ?

Not worth it. If you can get the aftermarket accessories mentioned, go that route. Quick search on amazon.com.au shows it there

Youre really not missing much - it takes longer to establish a connection and usually you end up plugging in for charging anyway because the battery drain on the phone is high if you’re doing music + nav
