Default A4 1.8T cabriolet burned up out of the blue

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/36051/audi_1.jpg"></center><p>Dear Friends and Family,
I had a very traumatic, dangerous and scary experience on Friday.
My car burned up out of the blue and went into flames all within 10-15 mins. just as I was about to drive away after picking up daughter from a piano lesson..............
I was and am totally shaken and devastated as you can imagine.
Just what I need in my life!
We are fine though, thank God!
And thank God we had kind friends nearby.
Check out these incredible photos.............
Love

Default Glad everyone is OK..its just a car. some questions...

did you cal Audi of America and let them know of the fire? Its extremely inportant that you do. Regardless of your warranty status.

Do you have any idea of the cause?

What was your last service done?

Please let us know how this all goes, so we can kepp tabs on our cars as well.

Default I'm quite sure the owner did call AoA, she serviced the car just last week.

She parked the car and got off to pick up the daughter. When she returned and restarted the car, she saw a little bit of smoke from under the hood. Got off the car to check it out further, more smoke, and things got worse.

No explosion.

Default Does ANYONE know what caused this? I park in my house garage..

and this has me a little freaked out...

was there much warning before this happened?

I know a lot of Ford Explorers have been catching fire after they are turned off and left for several minutes (many times in home garages)...

Does R230 have ANY clue other than just showing us a bunch of useless pictures...

Sorry R230, but please be of more help...

This is just scarying me at this point...
