Hello! I have a 2009 A4 convertible with just over 55K miles. About two weeks ago, the backup seņor malfunctioned and when I put the vehicle in reverse, there is a continuous beep even when there is nothing even remotely close to the rear of my car. It doesn't do it every time I'm in reverse, but maybe 80% of the time.

THEN, yesterday, I was riding around with the top back. When I went to put the top back up, it would go about three inches and then completely stop. I put the top back down, tried again, and only three inches. I was able to manually get the roof up but was left wondering if these two issues are related.

Has anyone else ever experienced a similar problem(s)? Do you think these things are related or is my car just going crazy on me? Any information would be helpful at this point!!

Addressing ONLY the possibility of your electrical system going crazy -- given the fact that your car is now at least 4 years old, have you checked the condition of your battery?

My problem is, the top opens 3" and stops, it will close and lock in place. I wonder if we have the same electric problem.
I dont have a issue with reverse.
