Default glove box OEM CD Changer Install

As anyone performed this install. My glove box does not seem to have the slot (seems a bit shallow) for the OEM changer. Do you have to take the entire glove box out in order to fit the changer. I already pulled the Concert II Radio out and installed the cable for the changer. If some one could point me into the right direction that be great. TIA.

I have just taken a look at mine and it sits in a purpose built cubby hole adjacent to the airbag isolation switch. This leaves a small shelf to the left of it giving a dual layered glovebox.

I was told when I ordered mine (because I was going to fit one myself) that it would work out more expensive to do it aftermarket, because it used a different glovebox liner, plus the cost of the changer and lead ??

Maybe this is the problem you have - do you have two cubbies in the top part of your glovebox? I have never seen one without a changer so I can't say.

Hope this helps

PS where did you get the pullers from to remove the head unit ?

HCUK :-)

Thanks for the info. I will talk to my parts guy about the liner. I have the liner with the two top cubbies. I got the pullers from my parts guy at the Audi Service Station. They also sell Porsche parts and he gave me 2 sets of pullers for the Porsche radio. They work just as well.

Does anyone have a pic of the glovebox that is supposed to be used with the CD Changer. I just looked at mine and I do have the 2 sections at teh top. Either section would fit the changer. One is far to long (left) and the other side is to short (right). Any pics would be most appreciated.
