High Idle and hesitation on acceleration?

High Idle and hesitation on acceleration?
My cab idles at 800RPM and tells to hesitate when i try to accelerate somewhat hard. If i "feather" the gas and start pulling away slow, there's no apparent lag. But a quite pull away definitely exhibits some jerkiness. Anyone else experience something simlar?

Does not seem too bad to me
My cab idles at 800 rpm also and I have noticed the slight lag. I think that might be the result of the car picking a "program" but who knows. To me it just seems like this is a completely different kind of car (CVT, etc.) and my driving style has already begun to adjust to it. Plus I moved up from a Miata that was so light you could just blow on it and the thing would accelerate! Really, I could push-start that car by myself, so the cab is a lot different.
