Default NAv + Install

Has anybody done a NAV + Install for their Cab yet. Can the NAV + be added to a cab that did not come with Nav. Where did you get the unit, how much did it cost and how hard was the install? TIA.

Default i did some research on this. I believe we have two options

The first one is:

getting the 4b0 919 8** E unit ( i cant remember the digits) This unit gets mounted in the trunk. Then you need to buy the center console stalk and holder, disks, antenna.

Also with the above you need to add some pins to the molex connetors.

If you dont currently have the color cluster you can upgrade that for $680

The other option is a NAV+ to replace your symphony II or whatever you have. Directions for installing this can be found at www.tvwiz.net .

if you could e-mail pics and let me know how the system is working for you that would be great. A couple of questions i have. How was the install for you. Was it easy or was there a lot of work for installing the system. Also i heard that the AM and FM tuning was different in europe and that the AM tuning oes not quite work but the FM works fine. Was there a whole lot of parts to order? E-mail me privately at kyubum@mindspring.com. Thanks in advance.

Default Not difficult at all (more)

The install is actually quite easy. There are a few wires to change. I have a complete write up for it. Connectors are readily available. I can help you with a whole package.

FM is not an issue at all. The Nav+ goes in 0.1 increments so you actually get better resolution. My experiece with AM is that it is not a problem either. I listen to AM quite a bit and in the 16 months I've had Nav+ I've not yet found a station that did not come in just fine.

I'm on vac this week in SoCal. I'll have to check what pics I have with me on the laptop. I'll send an email.
