I made my last car payment today and am still under warranty for 8 more months. I had taken out a five year loan when I bought the cab. in the fall of 2005, but I saved up a enough to pay the car off after just over 3 years. It feels great. I just hope the CVT does not go bad like so many that I have read about on this site.

I hope it does while still under warranty, but I would prefer it if I got a good one that lasts over 100,000 miles. I did have the transmission fluid changed at 20,000 miles. I think the manual suggests changing the fluid at 35 or 40,000 miles, but some on this site suggest having it done ever 20,000.

I have the same car, but an 04. Also just made my last payment, but my warranty ran out a few months ago.

Does anyone have any feedback on buying warranties?
