There is an engineering company in Germany that developed a module that allows you to use your key remote to open the top. After it's installed you just press unlock three times and it fools the car's electronics into thinking that you are holding the key in the door in the open or close top position. Installation involves opening the driver side door and some soldering skills.


I ordered this Reinhold Audi A4 Cabriolet Remote Roof Module from another forum member some time ago and never got around to installing it.

I have a B7 2006 2.0t S-Line Cabriolet does anyone know of remote roof module that will work on this car.

I want to be able to open/close the roof with the remote key fob.

I checked reinhold's site but their adaptor seems to only work on the B6.

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.

Just ordered a '07 3.2 Cab (and an '07 Q7 :-) ) .. Reinholds site won't ship to the US... anybody have another pointer to anyone else?

I have seen the postings where you can buy these, including https://www.wilhelmy-it.de/ (mods4cars). My question is, has anyone installed this themselves on an a4 Cab, and/or if you have had someone else do it where do you find a non-Audi dealer who knows how to do this and will do it (and what might that cost)? I have a 2004 that will go off warranty in a few months, and that's when I am willing to try this. Thanks!
