Repairing rear glass window
All,
a 2-3 inch gap has come un glued at the bottom rear glass window. Is their a way to repair this or is it a new roof from Audi - £3450 plus the VAT at my local main dealer!!!
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

There are a lot of postings on the forum here about the window coming loose. Home remedies involve using high quality glue and holding the window and fabric together while the glue cures with two large industrial magnets, sandwiching the glass and top material together. When I had the problem, I took my car to my dealer, who brought in a convertible top specialist to do the repair. It cost a couple of hundred dollars.

I had the same issue took the car to a shop that did car restoration, they used a adhesive striped around glass to adhere to fabric. Gave it a nice trimmed out look, never know it was a repair and has held perfectly for three years now. Cost was $200. Owner of the shop stated they used this method all the time on older classic cars to keep ragtop original.
