...within the next few days. The idea is too keep the regular spring's smoothness, but eliminate the shock's pitching. The springs will stay.. for now.
I'll let U know how it goes.

Why does everyone keep complaining about the suspension set-up on the cab??
I have a 2.4 with standard suspension, but wider 215/55/16 tyres and I find the set-up to be pretty darn good. No pitching at all, just a realy nice smooth sorted ride and one that keeps pretty flat when cornering :-)

I've got a 1.8T with standard suspension and the wider 215 tyres, and I do get the pitching occasionally on motorways at speed, but so far it's not over worried me.
I think it's one of those things that if you are concious of it, you look for it and it bothers you, if you're not you'd probably never be bothered by it...
Ari.

Why does everyone keep complaining about the suspension set-up on the cab??
I'm assuming the variation in opinion is down to three main things
1) How we drive
2) What we're used to
3) What sort of roads we usually drive on
In my case the answers are 1)quite fast 2)a TT 3)bumpy
and I find the cab's handling far from ideal for my purposes.
Interestingly I was reading Car magazine's review of the new V6 TT today and they mentioned that the extra weight makes it feel as if "they've thrown away the dampers" (which is pretty-much how my A4 cab feels).
Of course the other option is that it's not a question of perception at all, and there is a lot of variation between individual cars.
So has anyone been back to their dealer to mention it as a problem? I'm thinking about it, but wondering if life's too short.

I agree with you Ari, except I have yet to experience this so called 'pitching'
2.4 V6 Multitronic - Non Sport
Went on my first proper long drive today which included motorway and bumpy B roads and thought the car handled all of them superbly.
Just can't see how people could think that there is a fault with the set up - surely they would get quietly escorted out of the dealership ???
Have all these people bought the Sport Pack? - I for one found that to be incredible stiff for my liking and therefore did not take that option - but there again other people think its too SOFT ??????
Just goes to show we are all different

I'm in dialog with the Danish Importer of Audi, with the suspension problem.
I will let you all know, what will happen. In this matter.
The standard suspension, is for sure not sufficient enough, handling is worse then in a wheelchair. And the dampers has to be change.
I have tried out with H&R springs, but this did not work out, since it is a damper problem.
Bilstein has now a new complete suspension set for the A4 cab. Where you can change the stiffness in the set up.
