Would you buy a Quattro A4Cab
With the Quattro version due out later this year would anyone buy one. I think it would be too heavy but the performance figures seem quite similar. Its only available with the 1.8T or the 3.0 , it is rumoured to be about £1700 more expensive.

I would go for it, but only with a more powerful engine. It will be a much heavier car.
I think an S4 cabriolet would be a good idea and a very good challenge to the M3 cabriolet

More power for 1.8T quattro I wonder?
When I changed my A3 1.8T for a 1.8T quattro, the quattro had a more powerful engine which more than offset the extra weight and drag of the 4wd (and a bigger fuel tank because it used loads more petrol!!)
I wonder if they'll do the same for the A4 Cabrio quattro. My A3 was 150hp, my A3 1.8T quattro was 180hp, and I think my A4 1.8T Cabrio is 163hp (I think) so there is plenty of scope.
aying that I think the A4 1.8T saloon/Avant is the same power (150hp) for 2wd and quattro...
Ari.

I'm seriously thinking of trading my 2001 330 cic for one
Am I crazy ??
I love my wife's 2002 allroad and have alway's had Audi's.
If the cab quattro was available in 2001 I would have bought instead of the BMW.
How under powered is it really ?????
any chance of sqeezing in the 2.7T like the allroad has ?????

No. I would not buy another A4 Cab full stop. I think perhaps a basic-ish 1.8T at mid-20K is a good buy, but a 3.0Q will be nudging £40k with some decent extras and it just can't cut it in that territory.

Re: Would make sense (and a damn nice car!)
I am waiting for the V8 4.2 or S4 cab !!!!my provisional order is already with the dealer.
although not a drivers car, the A4 cab looks darn nice..........I can just see those 20" 9 spokes now.....

what dealer is taking orders for these cars???? personally i think it unlikely Audi will ever build it .. cab/coupe = M3, saloon/estate = S4 .. different cars for different markets.
