I like the cross bars, nice an low profile.... Could you see the yellow and that is why you painted them? What do the sides of the bars say?
oooooh Jonathan that A6 by you has night vision....
Yeah you can see the yellow hardware, very bright visible, not sure why the manufacturer chose this color. The side mounts have the word PAW inscription on them. That doesn't bother me.
Also in case anyone is wondering if you can fit RS6 wheels onto an Allroad, dont't. Just dont. I tried test fitting them and it's crazy how much wider the RS6 fenders are compared to the AR. . this was done just for fun!
im glad you tried the wheels to show how much gap there is to fill. I drove by an c5 allroad the other day and the over fenders on that model were do much more pronounced. Got me thinking if someone ever thought of making aftermarket over fenders for the c8 with factory mounting. Not sure why someone would want such a wide allroad. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to mount using factory mounting position though.
It's not so much the width, but the offset of the RS6 wheels. This was just done as an experiment for the community on one wheel since I was curious to see if they would fit and as you saw, they do not, not even close. I have seen some aftermarket RS6 look alike wheels will work and I've considered them but not sure yet. I love my ABT wheels for now and keeping the stock 20" wheels keep the ride comfortable. I think 21" would be the sweet spot but not sure if that's worth the $ for an extra inch. twss.
