bjarchibalaudi, I have edited the list to add your name as the purchaser of vehicle 38.

I don't understand why it has been dropped for '21 and '22 A6 sedan/allroad orders and apparently limited to the S and RS cars. Seems a bit crazy to have to go from a 75K A6 Allroad to a 125K RS6 to get an $1800 option (as an example).
Thanks for clearing up the fact that a few '21 Allroads (both Anniversary and not) exist here in the US.
apologies.... Canadian Allroad did have dynamic RWS as an option for '21.

Default 4ws on 21's

Unfortunately no. It was ordered with it in very early 20, but the factory deleted it saying they did not offer it in 21. The dealer communicated with the factory to no avail. The car was originally due to be built in early June with 4Ws as a 20 but was delayed until November as a 21. So, if there is a 21 out there with 4WS, it is a very rare car.

Interesting side by side pic of A6 allroad and S5 Sportsback. Which car is faster? Which car handles better? Which do you like better. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

In general the allroad is silkier and smoother than the S5; the S5 obviously is sportier and quicker feeling. I haven't really tried to determine if one is quicker than the other but both do get up and go when you step hard on the pedal. With the allorad if you let the stop/stop operate smooth, easy starts from a stop sign/light are problematic. There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the "mild-hybrid" and the engine so that the car kind of stumbles forward for the first 50 feet or so. With start/stop off, all is fine and smooth. Just did a round-trip from Woodbridge to Front Royal/High **** (200' elevation to 2000' and a total of 140 miles) yesterday. Backroads at 45-55 mph up to Front Royal and Route 66 at 65 mph on the way home. It got 29.9 mpg on the computer for the trip. As far as longer trips the allroad is the most comfortable by far and can make over 500 mile legs as far a refueling. Although the allroad does drive "heavier" than the S5, most of the time it does not drive "big". You don't have the sense that you are driving a wagon, it could just as well be a sedan.

The Sportback is also a great vehicle and the massaging seats makes up somewhat for the somewhat less comfort than the allroad. To paraphrase others, leave it in "S" mode and it almost becomes a sports car, leave it in "D" mode and it is a GT. With the back seats down it can swallow a lot of stuff, not as much as the allroad obviously, but a lot. It gets driven more around town than the allroad and fuel range suffers accordingly, generally about 340 miles max.

And to see where I coming from: I'm 76 and since 1998 we've had four A6, two allroads, one S4 Cab, three S5 Cab, two S5 SB, and one Q7.

I've replied to your pm.

Based on Yosie's sighting and having talked to Manhattan Audi I have added this vehicle to the list in the #2 position.
