Default 0 satellites tracking in Navigation

Did a search on forums and did not find anyone with my NAV issues on a newer vehicle.
Can't seem to get my GPS working the way it should be. Here is what's happening;
1)Car position is nowhere close to what shows on popup map display screen
2)Check satellites tracking and it displays 0
3)Reset MMI system and 9 or 10 satellites show up instantly
4)Navigation works as it should
This happens numerous times a day, car shows a position way off from where I am, check satellites in system, 0, reset the MMI then 9 or 10 show up. I know the car is under warranty, I'm just hoping someone has had this issue so I can arm myself with information when the tech says "seems to be working now"!
Thanks

It shouldn't do that. Get thee to the dealer.

I just had this exact same problem. I bought my 2011 A6 used 2 months ago and it already had this problem. Was showing my location hundreds of miles away.
Yesterday I updated K0770 software to K0900 and navigation started working.

Well it looks like a dealer trip. Updated my map, now it shows I'm in downtown LA. I have rebooted the MMI several times and it doesn't change. No satellites showing available at all.

How does one check "satellites tracking"? I searched the two manuals and cannot find anything on this.

In the satellite menu, hit the upper left button and scroll up to "location" and enter. You will see the satellites tracking you then.

Has anyone else noticed the compass on the Nav screen seems to have East and West mixed up or is it just me? It points East when I'm driving West and vice versa. The DIS shows the correct direction. Only does it when I'm not actually using the Nav to navigate. When I actually input an address and use it to navigate, the compass points in the right direction for East and West.

I had this problem a few month ago on my A4 but I solved it!
The same problem had a friend on A6 and worked also.
