Not possible on the C7.
It is possible to receive texts via Bluetooth (not send) on the new MIB2 found so far on the 2015+ A3/S4, 2017 A4 and 2017 Q7 MKII. Presumably, the MIB2 systems will be available on the next gen of A6/S6.

Interesting topic since my c6 does allow this. Here the background, I have a dension 500 and a tune2air dongle.
The scenario is that i have a Windows phone and when I receive a text the mmi will state that I've received a text and then ask if I'd like to have it read. If I respond appropriately, it will read out the text and then the mmi will ask if I'd like to respond and I can verbally respond to the text.
BTW I believe this is due to the driving more feature embedded in the phone and will automatically enable this feature. It's great!
