larger wheels generally have smaller sidewalls so the actual diameter doesn't change. This is important for speedo and other considerations. Potential downsides include harsher ride, rim damage, etc.

Agree!! Actually, I had planned on the 19's but found a great deal on a used A6. It happen to have the 20's. My plan was to replace them with 19s but I love the look now and won't part with them. Handling is awesome as well, but I have been dodging bullets keeping the P-zeros on in the Ohio winter.

I live in Chicago and had 21s on my BMW 750 and probably had at least 10 flats in the 3 years I owned the car. Once, I got two flats at the same time! Guess how many spare tires I had in the trunk? THAT was a fun day, let me tell you. I have 19s now and I'm satisfied.
