Default 20" wheels and tires

Why put 20" wheels and tires on a 2013 A6?

Is it looks?

Handling?

What?

Some people think anything less than 20" wheels are only suitable for shopping carts and baby carriages.

larger wheels generally have smaller sidewalls so the actual diameter doesn't change. This is important for speedo and other considerations. Potential downsides include harsher ride, rim damage, etc.

Agree!! Actually, I had planned on the 19's but found a great deal on a used A6. It happen to have the 20's. My plan was to replace them with 19s but I love the look now and won't part with them. Handling is awesome as well, but I have been dodging bullets keeping the P-zeros on in the Ohio winter.

I live in Chicago and had 21s on my BMW 750 and probably had at least 10 flats in the 3 years I owned the car. Once, I got two flats at the same time! Guess how many spare tires I had in the trunk? THAT was a fun day, let me tell you. I have 19s now and I'm satisfied.
