Default 2012 A6 2.0 Premium Plus - Pricing advice request

I am looking to buy a
2012 A6 2.0 Premium Plus
Phantom Black
Cold Pkg
Side Assist

Got a price quotes around $45,750 out of the door (it costs about $2000.00 for Tax, Tag and title).

I don't know anyone who owns an 2012 A6 so i have no idea.
Is this a good price? Please advice.

A good way to figure this out is to configure your exact car on edmunds.com, they have all the invoice pricing - compare against the invoice. General consensus is if that you're around $1k over invoice (I don't believe Audi provides any dealer holdback, so it'd be tough to negotiate under invoice), you're doing pretty good. For your example, invoice is $45,095... So I'd say if $45,750 is the price you're looking at, that's a pretty decent deal.

According to Truecar.com, there is a $460 dealer hold back

How does the Audi Loyalty program work from the dealer's end? I know I would get $2,000 off when buying an A6 since I currently own an A4. If I negotiate $1,000 above invoice with the dealer, are they getting the $1,000 over invoice plus that $2,000 Audi Loyalty? Just wondering if the Audi Loyalty could be a way to negotiate below invoice.

well you should understand that "Audi Loyalty" or "Audi Conquest" is not actually a reduction in price. It is Audi Corporate contributing money towards your down payment. You still pay taxes on that Loyalty/Conquest amount.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I ordered mine yesterday .. dealer didn't give me date but said it will delivered to me in about a week.

couple more questions.

Thoughts/comments on
1) Extended Warranty
2) Maintenance Plan ( BMW offers a 4 yrs service but Audi offers only 1 5K / 1 Yr).

Should I get one or other or both? What do y'all suggest?

The maintenance plan is a must in my mind, especially if you plan on having your Audi through the 45K mile mark. It pays for itself.

The extended warranty is up to you, just be sure you understand what it covers. A lot of times it will cover only engine problems and nothing electrical. Also understand that if you finance the extended warranty you will be paying interest on it for about 4 years before the warranty actually kicks in.

Also, consider doing Audi CPO instead of buying an extended warranty. Dealers will typically charge about $1,800 to certify your car. What they do is buy the car from you, certify it, and sell it back to you. That will extend the warranty for another 2 years. That also gives you the initial factory 4 year warranty period to decide if you want to keep the car beyond 4 years.

There are a few members here, including myself that purchased the 'AudiCare' plan for $800 it provides the scheduled maintenance (not including brakes)

AudiCareScheduled Maintenance Schedule: 15,000-mile service, 25,000-mile service, 35,000-mile service, 45,000-mile service

here is the link to info about it: http://www.audiusa.com/us/brand/en/o...audi_care.html
