I'm starting to wonder...
On March 28th, I put a down payment on an A6 that was "released for prodution", or so that status in Audi's database said. It had all the options I was after except one, as I recall, so it was a last minute change. Or so I was told.

When I checked with the dealer yesterday for status, it is still in the same status with an expected date of May 13 to be loaded on the ship. I asked my dealer if it was going to be a 2012 or 2013 model and they couldn't tell me. In fact, they said sometimes Audi doesn't tell them, which sounds lame.

At any rate, I'm not hard over either way. I'm not a big fan of the "stop-and-go", although I've never tried it, but I do like some of the other 2013 options (360 degree camera, auto closing trunk...). I'm thinking the factory may be in changeover to the 2013 model, which is causing the delay. Any thoughts?

My dealer's 2013 A6 order guide shows the following dates:

Issue Date: April 6, 2012
Revised Date: April 20, 2012

So his order guide with a revised date of April 20, 2012, does not have "Power Trunk open/close" (option code 4E9) option. Can someone confirm that it was indeed taken out. It is a nice feature that I was ready to include in my order.

Also, what are the new colors (if any) for the 2013 A6?

I don't remember where I saw it on the web, but from what I read 2013 Production is supposed to start on June 1. So if your car is getting loaded onto the boat on May 13, it's almost assuredly a 2012 if the information I found was correct.

The power trunk is no longer an option. My wife's 2012 Honda Odyssey has a power trunk. I've ordered a fully loaded 2013 (including B&O). Bummer that power trunk won't be included. I could care less about the sunshades as I will be doing a ceramic tint.
