Want to buy and S6. Audi rates torque at 550Nm/406 lb ft for this car which is precisely the torque limit this unit can handle anyway. Car and driver states that audi beefed up this trany (perhaps internally called DL 501)
I am providing the link where i read this first (its for S7 but does not matter since mechanically S6/S7 are identical)

Does any one of you have any info on this??
Thanks everyone!!

I don't have any information specifically about an upgraded DSG. However Audi designs their products with margin and I have no doubt that the transmission is NOT operating near its torque limit.
I'm hoping that they've used technology from the new R8 DSG.

ABT Sportsline came up with this couple of days back and it has me worried since they crank the torque way above 550Nm/406 lb ft..
