2015 vs. 2016 A6 Prestige

Hi all,
I'm buying my first Audi, and it will be an A6. I have a very trusted Audi specialist looking for me (he's a shop/dealer, looking at the auctions).
I'm looking to keep it under $30k. I would obviously like lower mileage, I'd love to keep it under 50k, and I really like the styling of the 2015 more than the 2016. That said, what do you guys think? Is there a reason to go for the 2016 over the 2015? Any reliability or other differences between the two (I'd imagine not)? Would there be any appreciable difference if I were willing to go up a little bit in price, say $32,000?
I'd rather spend a little more and get a better car, but if I don't have to necessarily, even better. I plan on keeping the car a good ten years, and over the past decade I average right at 10k per year. So mileage-wise, I imagine I have a good shot at running this car to close to 200k.
Any advice you all can give me would be much appreciated.

You gave folks 12 hours to respond. This is not a high traffic forum. Giving folks 2-3 days, at least, would be fair. I have an 2016 A6 TDI Prestige. While I love it, I have no input as to previous versions/years since this is my first Audi.
Good luck and hope you get some input.

I have a 16 tdi as well and prefer it over the look of the 15. If you are looking for a 2.0 non Quattro then definitely go with the 16, it has more power and the 16 came with a dsg tranny which is far superior to the old cvt. The 16 also has the updated MIB infotainment system which is capable of LTE and updated from the AMI input to USB’s.

A couple of things.
1. Try putting this on Audizine.com it is much more active and the A6 community there is much more helpful.
2. Get a 3.0, unless your car will only be used for highway driving.
3. Differences between 2015 A6 Prestige (3.0) and 2016 A6 Prestige (3.0)

3. Differences between 2015 A6 Prestige (3.0) and 2016 A6 Prestige (3.0)
- Bumpers and lights both front and back
- Display in the center of the dash (referred to as the DIS) is updated and allows you to view the maps from the center
- MMI system is updated (some newer features, slightly crisper, more up to date, etc.)
- USB ports (the 2015 and older don't have any USB ports, the '16 has 3 USB ports making it much easier to charge and connect phones)
- Engine (minor updates, slightly quicker throttle response, power upgrade from 310hp to 333hp)
- Transmission (much more responsive, better mapping (IMO), and slightly quicker shifts)
- Options (more options and standard features on the '16+ cars.)

Also, if you end up getting the car (I love mine), then the forums (especially Audizine) can be extremely helpful. You won't regret signing up for them.

For my 2 Cents, I would also 100% endorse the 3.0T rather than the 2.0T. The mass of this car is considerable and at 4000lbs+ you need both the hp and the torque of the 3.0T. I previously had a 335i coupe and, though it was 400lb's lighter, I really don't notice any difference with the get up and go of my A6, perhaps the supercharger having that slight edge over the turbo of the BMW. Mine's a 2015 and I like the design of that car but I bought it a year ago when it was three years old with a $30K price ceiling in mind at the time. In your shoes now, I'd have to consider the 2016. Reason being that with many 3 year leases, it is the 2016's now coming off lease while still having that one year remaining on their 4-year warranty, during which time you can hopefully hunt down any issues (if at all) and deal with them at Audi's expense.
As far as Audizine is concerned, it certainly is a busier site; my one observation being that it is populated by a lot of boy racers who spend much of their time (and money apparently) upgrading with Stage 1's and Stage 2's and every other bell and whistle they can find to eke more oomph from their car. That's all well and good if it's your thing but I find more sober discussion on this site, albeit a bit slower in arriving.
