Terrapin,
Did you get the 20" or 19" wheels with the Sport Suspension?

19" with German Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires. They a noisy and hydroplane easily. Avoid!

Something like this is always going to have different expectations and opinions as a result. Tire brand and type will also play a role in ride comfort vs handling with the Sport as it does without. Potential owners considering the Sport should drive both before making a decision for themselves. I have no regrets whatsoever I chose the 19" Sport and would do it again in a heartbeat. And my area is no stranger to its share of lousy roads.

I would do the 19 inch sport suspension again without hesitation. Great balance between handling and ride quality.

Default 2016 A6 Tires Rough ride

After 1,500 miles I checked my tire pressure and found the dealer delivered 48lb. all around. Some problems have a stupid simple solution. Try the pressures in the owner's manual rather than the higher (full load) pressures on the door sticker.

It will be hysterical if all of his rantings on the various threads is because he never read the manual and he has the wrong air pressure in the tires. Of course he will never admit it.

+1

Having been able to do 200 mile test drives with and with out sport suspension, I would not get a non sport suspension a7. It was nice to get a new audi and not have to deal immediately with the body roll, stiffer schocks, bigger bars.

As others have said, it's also about tires and pressure. I can now admit I was wrong wrong wrong for years bad mouthing 20". With the right tires for me, Conti DW and correct pressure, for me, 41/41, the car with 20s is dream to drive. If I never own another Pirelli tire again, it will be too soon.

Now be nice.... I did read the entire owners manual on a plane flight from Dulles to Heathrow. And yes, I have checked the tire pressures when I took delivery and had the dealer reduce them to the 36 PSI on the door jam sticker. I also tried 32 PSI.

My apologies if my sharing on this forum is incorrectly understood as ranting. It is disappointment and warnings to those that switch from BMW to Audi, and specifically in this thread the harshness and noise of the 19" tire sport suspension. I am glad others find the sport suspension perfect for them. It's does not work for me.
