35k service question

35k service question
So my service light has turned on and my 35k service is due.. I heard that the 35k service is one of the more expensive ones. My car only has 25k miles on it so will they still charge full price or do they only replace parts that need to be replaced. Also if I go to a place that will do my service but it's not a Audi dealership will that void my warranty or do I have go to a Audi dealership to do my service? Thanks.

First, the scheduled maintenance is every 10K miles or 12 months whichever comes first. Oil breaks down with time as well as miles and should be changed every year at the least. The dealer will charge the regular rate for the appropriate scheduled maintenance since it's due by time anyway.
Second, you can have the service done by anyone so long as the scheduled items are performed. It will not void your warranty but save your paid invoices. Be sure you take it to a shop that regularly works on Audis. Those fast oil change joints, tire shops and other places where Audis are treated as Chevys or Fords are not recommended. No one can work on my car except the dealer or my Audi/VW indy shop.

Well if your car only has 25,000 miles have them perform the 25,000 mile service regardless what the service light says.
And I was under the impression that the first major service was at the 55,000 mile mark when the supercharger belt, spark plugs and both air and cabin filters needed changed as well as motor oil and filter. I haven't checked the maintenance schedule but pretty sure until 55,000 miles it's pretty much oil and filter changes with a bunch of visual inspection.
Like Snagitseven said, take it to a reputable Indy shop or dealer for your maintenance work. You can Google speedee or jiffy lube oil change and read all the horror stories. Plus most quick oil change places won't even have the oil filter for our cars because of the high cost and low demand. If it's an Indy shop make sure they have a VAGcom software because without it they won't be able to reset your service needed wrench.
Hope this helps!

Vas ist das "service needed wrench? I don't think you meant a wrench, wench, hench or mensch but maybe you meant to write the "service reminder message"?

Haha was a pun. There is a wrench that shows up on MID when the service is due well at least on the 2012 I have. To make that wrench disappear, and also the service reminder it needs the VAGcom cable.
