Hi,
Taking my vehicle in for tinting and wanted to get the tint done under the 3rd brake light instead of a cutout.
Anyone here has experience removing the third brake light? I looked at it and it does not look obvious to me on how to remove it, next step would be etka to see if it gives any clues.
Hoping someone here has removed the third brake light here and can shed some light (pun intended).
I prefer to remove it myself instead of getting the installers to do it.

My tint guy did it (and in fact they forgot to mount it back afterwards). When I mentioned it to him, it literary took him 3 seconds to snap it back.
I didn't see the exact "technique" but it seemed really straight forward.

So you want to tint your brake lights? That seems counter-productive, my brake lights are for others to see me and the better they can see me then the less chance of an accident.

Not sure if it's the same in yours as my 2010.
Remove the rear headliner panel by pulling down to disengage the clips.
Then the light is right there and I can't quite remember if it's more clips or a couple of screws. It's rather easy though.
I will suggest checking your local laws though, in some states tinting over the light is illegal and would be at your own risk.
