A6/ C7 warranty claims
While Consumer Reports show excellent reliability for the 2012 A6, what item failure brought you to the dealer for a service that could have cost, say over $100.00 you if not warranty covered? I am not asking about something that needed adjustment, but, an item that needed to be replaced? With all the technology Audi provides, has any of it given you grief? Perhaps we can accumulate a report on the 2013 A6, and let us know what to look out for.I have found that this forum gives a better picture of how great the Audi A6 is than any test drive I have read. Thank you all.

2 Issues, both fixed under warranty
1) Center Console cover came off(clips broken) -> Replaced (@ 15 Miles)
2) MMI Screen was jerky while opening/closing -> Dealer replaced gears for screen, no opening/closing smoothly (@ 17000 miles)
Both of these, if not under warranty, will cost more than $100

At 15,000 miles, dealer replaced MMI cradle as the screen occasionally stuck closed. I thought it only needed adjustment but pleasantly surprised when it was replaced.

2012 C7 prestige. At 7k miles front diff oil leak. Was supposed to replace front diff but due to hight cost audi decided to replace gaskets instead. It worked well though. No problems after that @ 33K. Seems to be a very solid well build car. Will see how it holds for the next 100K miles.

Haha, The moment I saw that screen, I knew it was going to be trouble...wonder if they offer an "MMI Screen Only" warranty extension

I had a few repairs on my 3.0 at around 1K; each would be over $100.
- Replace wiring harness for front park assist sensors.
- Replace something in the mirrors that was causing side assist to turn off.
- Noise in front seat required dis-assembly of seat and replacement of some clips.
- iPod cable was defective and iPod would sporadically disconnect. Replaced.
The labor alone to re-calibrate parking sensors after harness replacement would have been huge; it required a 4 wheel alignment among other things
All these repairs were done in one visit at 1K; I had had no further issues except for some firmware upgrades (TCM for rough 2-1 downshift, disable the 'car off when door open') done at the 5K.

My MMI screen's gears/etc had to be replaced too! How has there not been a thread on this yet?? [FYI parts and labor would have been > $1300].
I've had a couple other things replaced under warranty and I've had zero problems whatsoever.

My issues (7500 miles):
- Stains on rear interior door panel from factory - dealer cleaned; no charge
- Broken latch on rear console 12v access door though I confess; it was caused by my foot when trying to clean the inside rear window; (I'm not responsible for what my foot does, however) - dealer replaced; no charge
That's it. No rattles, squeaks, knocks, groans, failed parts or stuff not working properly.
Knock on wood and may the angels continue to smile upon me.

3 miles in wheel bearing replaced
500 miles in glove box replaced
4800 miles in MmI software updated
Besides that (and a broken windshield, covered by insurance ) no problems
