Default A6 MMI Customization / Default Question

On my user information screen (between the speedo and tacho), I notice there are four tabs. (Radio, Phone, ACC and Navigation)

When I start my car, the tab that it starts on is the ACC tab... I see the car icon and the "blank" road ahead of it. But this isn't useful for me most of the time because the ACC isn't needed when I start off.

I would like the default of this screen to start on the navigation screen so that the compass will be up when I start the car. Is this possible? Otherwise, I have to right click a few times to get this tab up on my user information screen.

Thanks in advance!

I believe it stays on the screen that was present when you turned the car off. So, just move it to the nav screen and it should start up in that screen. I always have mine on the mileage screen and that is the screen it starts up in.

Jr,

Nope, regardless of where the screen is when I turn the car off, when I turn the car back on, it starts on the ACC screen. Could it be a setting somewhere?

Could it be that the Cruise Control is switched on (ie the lever on the steering column in pulled forward? Push it all the way back and see if the display behaves differently

I'll double check the ACC switch/lever. I do use it from time to time. Especially in stop and go traffic. And I do conscientiously switch it off.

I'll also look at the different switches in that lever.

Thanks.

Just thought of something. I indicated that my screen always starts with the mileage screen. That is what I have selected thru the list of selections for that screen. One of the other selections is the ACC. So, based on that thought you may be experiancing normal behavior. I know of no setting thru MMI to change that behavior.

That is what mine does as well... regardless of what the last screen I had up, I always start on the mileage graphic bar.

Some things are retained when you set the seat memory - maybe this is one? Ill try to remember to test that next time I go out.

I played around with mine last night.. changed my default screen on the dash and the screen on the MMI.

The screen on the dash always comes up to the car screen (red) and depending how I left it that's how it comes back. Either long term or short term memory or the digital speed.

The MMI however will stay at what ever I leave it as. The Car screen (red), Nav(Blue), Media(orange). Whatever screen I had up when the car is turned off, that's what I get the next time I enter/start the car.
