Some of you may already know that there has been some reported problems with the electric steering newly introduced in the A4/A5 and Allroad.
2013 allroad steering issues
2013 S5 Steering problems
I know the A6 has had an electric-assisted steering rack for a few years now. But I don't recall anyone reporting problems. Did I miss any such reports or it really has not been an issue for the A6?
I have been looking at the A4 for a while and thought it is now mature enough to have the bugs ironed out, except for the 2013 introduction of the electric steering. But thinking no problems were reported for the A6, I assumed Audi wouldn't screw it up. Now I am left wondering and questioning my interest in the A4.

The linked thread states a short term solution is to turn the wheel all the way to the left than right to reset. I tried this and it worked. I will keep trying this but I hope they figure out a solution so the dealer can fix it. I would rather it works right than to wait for the next stop to do the trick.
