Anyone have A/C problems with their 2012 or 2013 A6?
Drove my A6 about one hundred miles today. On the way back the A/C quits blowing cold. Turned it to low and still nothing. Shortly afterwards the red light on the A/C button goes out and won't come back on. Pulled over and shut the engine off and turned the ignition off. Restarted and still no A/C. Checked again later this evening and the A/C light is working on the button, but its still blowing warm air. Calling the dealer in the morning to schedule a time to bring it in. The car is a 2013 A6 Prestige. Anyone have this happen to their car? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks AnimateMe! Thats good information. Calling the dealer to schedule an appointment. Hopefully they have changed or updated the part so it doesn't happen again.

My wife and I got back to Charlotte from a trip to Key West on Saturday evening and when I cranked my 2013 A6, the AC was blowing warm air. Turned off the AC switch and then back on, no difference. I called my dealer on Monday morning to ask if they were aware of an issue and the service rep did not seem surprised. I am taking it in on Friday to have the warranty repair done. I hope this is not a issue like there was on the water pumps on the 2010 S4's since my wife drives a 2013 A6 as well.

Same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago with my 2013 A6.
Ran a VAG diagnostic and it said:
"Fault 00256 - A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor (G395) 014 - Defective"
Took it in, waited, 90 minute warranty repair, all is fine now.
Must have been a bad batch of those sensors.

Not to raise a thread from the dead but I was just doing a search and ran across this. This just happened to me in my '12 A7. Was driving along fine with AC blowing cool. Stopped at a friends house while driving through the neighborhood and left the car running. Jumped back into the car to leave after maybe 2 minutes and the AC is blowing warm air. Tried the engine off, back on again. Booked it in for service on Monday, Hoping for a quick fix.

Yes mine just went out too on my 2012 A6, and I found a Q5 thread:

I'm thinking my 2013 is having this issue soon. After ~30 mins, the right side vent will blow warm air. To make it blow cold air, I have to lower the passenger side temp a few notches.
