Default AU: 3.0T fouling spark plug

Hi all,

The story goes like this. I decided to change my water pump, thermostat and PCV. Not without its complications, though eventually got it done. Probably 100km in, my car starts misfiring in Cylinder 3. I found the spark plug was wet and fouled, put another plug in to see if it was possibly an accumulation over time thing, well, 30km later, I found out it wasn't as it began missing again and the plug was wet. Here is the interesting point...

The car was running fine, no issue whatsoever, then bam, misfiring and EPC mode. My research said it is either my injector or coil pack, so I switched my coil pack to another cylinder to see if that spark plug fouled next, but no, 40km later, no issue presenting in driving or on either of the two cylinders spark plugs (the main suspect one and the one I moved the coil pack onto). So I have some sort of intermittent problem and am lost. If it were easier, I would swap the injector around, wondering if this might resonate with anyone?

Thanks

First thought to me is dirty connection at the coil started the issue. When you switched, that cleaned up the connections.
Have you tried swapping them back?

Leaking supercharger intercooler. Not really common but I have seen and heard of it happening. The intercooler is built right into the supercharger. You can remove the supercharger and pressure test the intercooler with a garden hose.

I didn't touch the coils or any of that area during the job, though I did try changing the coil packs around, making sure the connections were tight, no help!

So do you know the link between the leak and fouling plugs?

UPDATE:

So I have had the 3rd cylinder plug fouling a few times, no pattern. I change the plug, sometimes get a few hundred or even more. Then the first cylinder plug started to foul here and there. Just today, 1st and 2nd cylinder. Changed my plugs over, a tonne of grey smoke coming out of the exhaust.
Here is the video

I am now thinking I should mention. When I first installed my intake runner flaps, I forgot to spring them back and had them trapped and drove the car a bit like that. I am now considering the possibility it is related, as I can't think of anything that was obviously out of place when I opened it back up.

@shezza84 , Did you ever figure this out? Sounds like you have similar symptoms to my car (albeit a different engine), so I'm curious what your solution was!

@woodepic , unfortunately no, the car is just sitting there at the moment. Everyone is convinced it is the rings, still just all too weird!

Ah shoot, I'm sorry to hear that!

Was it only the one cylinders plug that was wet and fouled? Or were all of them pretty bad?
