I'm not shure if you're going to get the 8 speed tiptronic....my guess is the same 7 speed s-tronic (DSG) that I already have on my C7
One of the issues Audi has is the available space in engine conpartment, since inline 4 need more space than a V6. With the new A4, Audi introduced a 2.0tfsi with quattro and S-tronic and I believe A6 is getting the same combo
You Americans should embrace the S-tronic transmission, faster and more economical than manual, and delivers same comfort as a tiptronic

From every review I read about the 7-Speed DSG, everyone is praising it...In the US it is offered in the S4
