I purchased Audi Care and Audi Care plus for my CPO. Cannot beat having the peace of mind. Eventually I will find a good indy mechanic but for now I am covered. So yes I would recommend getting it.

I'm sure you know this but just to clarify, Audi Care is a prepaid service agreement for the four scheduled maintenance visits only and will not cover anything outside of the listed service items or the manf. new car warranty like wheel balancing, wiper blades, alignments, etc. It was unfortunate that Audi discontinued "full" service a few years ago (like BMW does today) but I'm guessing I paid for it as part of the price of the car back then.

Exactly. The dealer pays about $770 for Audi Care. For example, if someone claims they got it for "free", they essentially received a $770 discount which theoretically, w/o AC, one could receive the same discount off the price of the car. Similarly with a trade-in - a dealer could offer $3K more than auction value on the trade but will not sell the new car near invoice on the same transaction. Dealers are not non-profit charities - there's no free rides.

Purchased it for around $1200 for my 2013 A6 - just had my 15k mile service performed. Figured I'd be keeping the car a few years and peace of mind is key. Plus allows Audi dealership to have this in their records for easy viewing by new potential buyer that the work was performed when it comes time to selling the car down the road.

I tried negotiating the price when I purchased the car but the sales manager said the markup was so low that he could not lower the price and I should just wait until my 15k service to buy.
