Even my wife who, for example, can't tell one modern Audi from another, wouldn't mistake a Ford Fusion for an Aston Martin.

I guess I should have been a little more specific. Aston-Martins are pretty uncommon--you rarely see one on the road. People who drive and Aston will react positively if they see another one on the road. From 1/2 mile away, the front-end of the Ford Fusion looks surprisingly like an Aston front-end. First comes the "Positive Reaction" followed by disappointment--"It's only a Ford Fusion". Don't we also have a positive reaction when we see another beautiful A6 on the road--of course we do!
