There is another thread that discusses this. I had to have my microphone replaced - they said it was ripped/torn during installation. I believe there was a bulletin on this as well. I had to to call my service guy while driving so he could hear the problem first hand, as they gave plenty of pushback. Once I did that, they looked at the mic, saw the damage, and replaced it.
I have the Ceramic tint, but anyway the problem was happening before and after tinting. I will plan to have the Mic checked out at my upcoming service.

2013 A6 here. Bluetooth sound (outgoing) is awful. Had the dealer check it, they said it was fine.
I have found that if I turn the input volume all the way down and speak very very quietly, the sound is a tad clearer.

Try leaving yourself a voice mail message or, if you're on an iPhone, just use the "voice memos" app to record yourself as you push and prod at the upper center console. That's where the microphones are.
I had major problems with my last A6. One of the microphones had fallen, so when I was stopped, it seemed to work properly. At speed, it vibrated against the plastic of the console.
In my A8, the audio quality is awesome...actually sounds better (richer) than when I use the phone's built-in mike. Even at 70 mph, I can do a conference call and nobody complains about the audio.
If you're using an iPhone, you should definitely upgrade to the latest OS, though. Audio quality improves considerably with 6.1.2 over Bluetooth. When I'm stopped, it's crystal clear.
