Enable it and test it yourself. Some dealers have been saying this since at least the C5 days, and it wasn't true back then. I suspect it's still not true. If it were my kid (and back in the day, it was) I would test the anti-pinch feature after enabling (and I did).

I'm not sure which president you're referring to, or what s/he has to do with it, unless you're using one to do the pinch testing? If so, please take ours!

Of course I do. I have VCDS, so I have all the cool stuff.

Yes there is launch control.

Here is a youtube showing how to use it:
Basically it's: sport mode (i.e. pull back on the shifter), stability control off (ESC), brake on, pedal to the metal (3000 rpm), release the brake:

How to use Launch Control A6 C7 3.0 TDI quattro S Tronic 180 kW (245 PS) 580 Nm - YouTube
That doesnt apply to US cars, European version (like the one in this video) have dual clutch transmission DSG, US version has tiptronic 8 speed, and if you do that you will only have brake torquing, but not a launch control per se.

Ah, OK. I was going by the owners manual which indicated launch control sequence. However now that you point it out, the fine print does say "s-tronic only"

So, when you say you only get brake torquing, what do you mean by that? Is that to say there is still some benefit in performing that sequence?

Brake torquing is holding the brake down and giving it gas before it launching to put the engine under load. If you do it right you can launch while under boost. Do it wrong and you'll blow the tranny or it will go into a "safe mode".

False. So long as the a phone (or in this case, a phone built into a car) is of the appropriate format (CDMA vs GSM) it will work with any carrier using that air interface. In face, many phones now contain both radios, and will work on almost *any* carrier. Thus, locking our cars to T-Mobile is a business, not a technical constraint
