Checked the manual, nothing stated there. And this pic of the inside of the console shows insulation between the air ducts and the cup holders, not any venting to the cup holders.

I'm going to say false.

Very well - Did not mean to put all to any trouble / extra work, but I still know my keys and car fob were very cold on picking them out of the Left Hand (smaller) cup holder. I guess its only my hidden gem then... no problem, enjoyed the feedback.

That could have actually helped me. Last weekend I went to a diner for brunch in my allroad (it has pushbutton start/stop). I could not figure out why I couldn't lock the doors. I tried the door button on both doors, the button on the key fab, nothing worked. So I figured I was in a good area and it would be save so I went into the restaurant. After ordering I decided to give it another try while waiting on my food. As I approached the car I notice the driving lights were on. I got in, press the gas and sure 'nuff it was still running. I felt a little foolish.
