Cellphone holder

I have been using Koomus holder for about a year now. It is mounted into the CD slot. It is in the perfect position and not blocking any vents. One issue is that if you have it vertical (holding phone vertically), your MMI screen might hit it when deploying/retracting. If you rotate it sideway, it will clear just fine.

+1 on the iOttie vent mount. They're so discreet. I have two of them, one on each side of the steering wheel, and they blend well.

My new favorite mount for my 7" tablet (when I need it) is this new lower-profile version of the InfiniApps CD Slot Mount. The little screw that you see in the pic is not needed for our slots.

Following up with pics of the two mounts I mentioned. (Shown in A7, but A6 only looks slightly different.) I typically use the InfiniApps CD Slot Mount when I want to use my tablet, because it's pretty solid. The iOttie vent mount is where I'll place my cell when I need to -- it can be easily popped on and off, but it's fairly discreet so I just leave it there on the vent.

I'm connecting via the car SIM, using Audi Connect T-mobile. It's bandwidth is not great, but seems sufficient for everything I've thrown at it. There are times I'll be simultaneously using the wi-fi for 1) Waze on my tablet, 2) Spotify and Escort Live on an old iPhone (no cell service), and 3) the MMI Google Maps overlay.

I checked out the tablet mount you are using. Does it hold the tablet securely?

Yes it's very secure, both the interface that goes into our CD slot (even without the tightening screw) and the magnet force that holds your tablet (underneath that rubber circle are 4 watch-battery-size strong magnets).
