One could also use the umbrellas to keep dry if the car goes into the water.
Maybe.

My underseat storage is empty. If I understand correctly, my choices are weed, emergency hammer, or umbrella - well then, that's a tough choice. Will have to post back later. On a side note, I initially beat the hell out of the underseat storage handle trying to get the seat to spit out some sort of thigh support. The salesman had to intervene.

We were counting on a resourceful guy like you to come up with something creative - not simply choose from the current options.

Below the seat, It's a compartment? I thought it was a usable cup holder.

Silly you. These are German cars - you get no usable cup holders.

Vee vill give you small cuphoders, and you vill LIKE them.

So much of this car is perfection... and yet the cupholders are worthless.

I feel stupid! I pride myself in knowing my cars very well but I had no idea of the storage under the seats. In addition, I'm pretty sure that I don't have an overhead eyeglass holder in my 2013. Was it dropped in the last year or two?

Under seat storage...maybe I'll use it for a flashlight and/or multitool.
