There was a recent post on this, but I have a specific product question I did not see addressed there. I reeived a sample Invisible Glass Lens and Screen wipe. Does anyone know if this is safe to use on the instrument cluster/display lens/cover or on the MMI screen?
The directions say to "test for compatiblity on sensitive plastics or non-glass materials" - up to now I have sprayed distilled water in a fine mist on the lens/cover then wiped with a clean microfiber cloth.
Thanks

If the distilled water and microfiber work, why do you need something different? I also wouldn't be spraying anything directly on the panel, spray the towel and wipe the screen.
There are also a number of LCD screen cleaning solutions. Do the same thing.

This may sound silly, but it's worked great for me with my LS600hL for the last 6 years. I look forward to doing in with my A6 in September.
On the highway, first making sure that there are no cars nearby, I open the windows and (while watching the road) use a duster to dust the instrument cluster and other areas.
Obviously, you can't have clutter on your seats (front or rear) or the clutter would blow out with the dust.
All of the dust blows right out the window, and my instrument cluster remains completely scratch and mark free.
15 seconds every week or two is all that's required.

Compressed air works for dust but, unfortunately, it doesn't work very well for any any dirt or contaminants that stick to the plastic surface. Sometimes, it just has to be carefully cleaned.
