I've got all you mentioned but added the rocker panels as well. A good idea with all the road crud that gets thrown up under there.

Any specific products you've come to trust for keeping your car clean?

I've pretty much gone with all Optimum products at this point. ONR for washing, Tireshine, Wax and I just purchased the cleaner to use on the baseboards inside the car. (that beige is a PITA to keep clean from scuff marks)

Optimum makes very good products. Another very good company is Carpro

http://www.carpro-us.com/

Any mix of products from those two should cover the gambit for you. you could also look into some longer lasting 2-3 year nano coating products like Carpro CQuartz or Optimum Opti-Coat.

If you do not want to go that route - there are lots of newer technology liquid silicone protectants out there (Carpro Reload is one, not sure the Optimum equivalent if they have one) that give 6 months of protection / shine

Optimum No Rinse is great for washing especially in winter. I also like using Carpro Ironx snowsoap the rest of the year as you can remove paint contaminants that way

For inside the vehicle use a good all purpose cleaner which is stronger than the car soap you use. if you want to stick with Optimum, it would be the Optimum Power Clean

For your trim, I highly suggest you try either Carpro PERL or Ultima Tire and Trim guard. PERL is more economical, Ultima longer lasting on tires. I use both - Ultima on the tires, PERL all other trim

Do yourself a favor and read one of the sites where professional detailers hang out and talk about products like

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/

http://www.autopia.org/forum/forum.php

or if you are in Europe

http://www.detailingworld.com/forum/index.php

There is lots of great new technology out there. Take advantage of it

Thanks.. I do go to autogeek and autopia all the time as well as a few others. Strange that I've never heard of Carpro. I'll check them out.
