Climate Control Settings

You are not supposed to leave recir on all the time. Auto will recir if the air quality is bad or if you need a lot of heat to defrost the windshield maybe even if it needs to cool the car down quickly because you set the A/C to low. Other than that it's better (so thinks Audi) to get fresh air in the car and heat/cool/de-humidify it automatically.

I get that recommendation, but in any car I have had that "check the air quality" and adjust recir on its own, it is far too late at reacting, I get the truck diesel smell permeating in the car long before the sensor turns on recir.

IMO, Audi has done a very decent job at designing the climate control system to work well in "auto" mode on both my 09 A4 and 13 A6 You can always tap the recirc button if you get a sudden, garagantuan blast of noxious air.

"68E3 2013-07-09 W-UPDATE - Comfort System Central Control Module Software Up 4G Open PERFORM UPDATE AS PER AUDI"
After the update, the climate control works much better in holding temperature AND the fan no longer blowing at max at my face.
They also update the steering software, stating that we should be getting a letter from Audi soon to bring the car in for the steering SW. 48K8 2013-08-22 is listed as the steering SW on my service order. Will see what happen when the weather get cold. I only had the problem when it is cold outside.
Enjoy the ride

Does anyone know a way to enable the fan speed decreasing when on the bluetooth phone? I feel like lesser cars do this (perhaps including other Audis) but my S6 does not. Thanks!

Interesting pretty sure my 2010 A4 did this. Does the S6 have the same trim levels as the A6? Do you have the 4-zone climate control?

Yeah I find that fairly annoying since the other side can hear it a bit. My Acuras used to do that and I loved it. At least the BT in the A65 is generations better than Infiniti. Everyone complain I sounded like I was in a tunnel, even my friend's G37 was same way. The A6 everyone says it is clear and not easy to tell I am in the car.
