An Audi dealer today told me they have 4 new model A6’s on order and due to arrive in New Jersey in May. Does anyone have confirmation when the 2012’s will start to arrive in the states? I’m not suggesting the salesperson would fib to me,,,,,,,, but,,,,,,,, well,,,,,,,, you know.

Seems too early...generally, I think the first new model year cars hit the dealers in Aug/Sep.

2012 A6 launch vehicles should be at the dealers in late May or June according to my dealer.

Those A6 are launch variants, just like the A7's

It's up to Audi on when those cars hit dealers. A lot might depend on how many '11 A6's are on the ground.

Dealers don't know pricing yet. And Audi is usually very tight lipped about pricing. Cars have been at the port and ready for delivery - and the dealers don't even know whow much they cost to tell customers.

They're held until the port can print un meroni stickers and send them on their way.

If I had to guess, I'd say late May / Early June sounds about right.

My dealer informs me that the car will go on sale in August, but the intro demos will arrive in June...like the A7's now on the dealers showroom floor.

Lots of the launch a6s are still in production stock and there was no allocation to build 2012 a6s in many regions for the month of may.

So things might get pushed back a month or two.

I ordered my 2012 A6 last week in March. I went back to the dealer mid-April to try to add an option to the order and when the manager tried to process the change, the system indicated the car was near production and won't allow the add-on. However, SA still indicated expected delivery to be around mid-August. I guess Audi is starting be build the orders but won't release them until sometime after A6 launch (or the manager processed it incorrectly). Either way, I'm anxiously awaiting the get the car (and find out the Canadian price list).
