There is an ongoing discussion on Motor-Talk.de (Kombiinstrument Tacho flashen updaten : Audi A6 4G) where they try to get the instrument cluster updated. The feature is available starting with sw 515 (for ROW at least) and based not he finding so far, clusters with sw 3xx can be upgraded by the dealer. Clusters with sw 4xx must be replaced and cannot be upgraded. The upgrade is started via CD or SD in the MMI but it sounds like the dealer will need to synch the car with Ingolstadt before it works. No final result yet but interesting topic.
