Default downloading route to nav unit

I haven't posted lately, been lurking only. I have a question about the Nav system in the 2012 A6 Prestige. This is the first car I've had with built in Nav, I've always used a Garmin unit in the past. I do a lot of secondary road touring, primarily on a motorcycle, but sometimes in my car. With the Garmin GPS devices I have always been able to plan my preferred route on my home PC and download the route/wayoints/POIs into the device. That feature is very convenient. I know I can download a destination to the car, but is there any way to plan and download an entire route?
thanks in advance

Not as far as I know, only what you have already mentioned.

While no downloading of complete routes is possible, once you download your POIs, you can create routes and save them in the car. Not as convenient but better than nothing.

Don't remember the exact details (but I have done it though) but couldn't you use your pc's Google Maps and download that to your car via the MyAudi account? Not sure about incorporating POI's though.

Only the destination, not the complete route. The on-board nav will still plot its own course.

Thanks everyone. I was hoping for a way to download entire route. Even with intermediate stops, Audi nav doesn't always go the way I would desire. It sometimes insists on taking a certain series of roads even to the point of significantly adding to the length of the route to get back to where it thinks I should go. Aggravating to say the least.

By the way, I have tried putting route together on google maps, then transferring over MyAudi. Only thing that gets transmitted is the destination.

thanks again.
