Yes I did and I was told that Audi is aware of the issue and they are working on a upgrade. The dealer told me he would notify me when the upgrade is available.

I know mine is a S6 but I did and they said there was nothing wrong with that behavior.

Kind of strange that there are two different stories to this. Maybe it is only recognized in the A6 and not the S6 yet?

The S6 is a DCT, right? Clunky shifting into first gear when coming to a stop is actually normal behavior for those. One of the downsides of the mechanical clutch.

I have this issue as well on my 2012 Prestige. Please let the group know your results after the 27th. Sounds like there will be quite a few interested parties.

Now if they could only address the soft brake pedal feel...

Default tsb number

Had the tsb performed yesterday. Abrupt downshifting is totally gone. What surprised me is that the transmission is MUCH smoother in accelerating as well (and I never even noticed a problem there!).

Anyway, the tsb number is 2030007/2 (it's a software update).

FWIW, my 2013 A6 doesn't have this issue - transmission is very smooth in all gear changes up and down in both D and S. Looks like the TSB was a software update already employed on the 2013's and now being rolled out to the 2012's.
