Whenever I get into the car, the radio automatically defaults to my non-preset stations list. Even if i've been out only a few minutes. Not very intuitive these cars. Any way to always have the radio on presets?

Maybe another dumb question but do you have the radio option set to your presets when you turn off the car, or are you just using the pad to pick your presets, but the radio is technically still on FM/AM? I know my car is always on the last radio device I set. It irritated me when it was always on bluetooth while my phone connected, so I switch it to Sirius before I turn my car off. That way I have music until my MMI is fully operational, than I go back to bluetooth.

The A8 does the same thing and this was brought up at a service visit. No solution was offered. My previous '06 A6 kept the presets, seemingly indefinitely; the A8 about 10 minutes after engine shutdown and they're gone and the entire SIRIUS channel list comes up.

This has been covered on this and other forums many time before. The MMI does not return to the sub-screen you were on when you left the car, only the main screen (ie Radio, Media, Nav or Phone). Memory (or Presets is a sub-screen)
